I am sure it had something to do with the new management that had been mentioned on here and some of the girls mentioned it too. The trouble started right at the door when they wouldn't let our friend in wearing a white t-shirt (not a wifebeater). He had started out the evening in a long-sleeve but it got to be too hot. The doorgirls had nothing but attitude when we asked them to explain the policy to us. It was a simple question and we weren't rude or antagonistic at all. It appears the rule is directed at "thugs" and our friend is so obviously far from that it's not even funny. Ladies, use your common sense. Anyway, we were allowed in after he borrowed a shirt and we forked over $75 in combined cover charges. We walked in to find a Jimi Hendrix cover band onstage. Umm...I guess that's cool if you didn't have your heart set on the whole tittie bar experience. Vinnie, not all of us own/hang out in one of these places on daily basis. We don't need that kind of variety. People should have been told at the door that there would be a cover band instead of the usual fare. We had money out on the table and even asked a manager to bring over some entertainers - not one single girl stopped by in the hour and a half that we were there. They looked bored beyond belief down on the back nine. Have you ever seen a chick half-heartedly shake it to a Jimi Hendrix cover band? Talk about a buzz kill. We did manage to get our cover charge refunded after a talk with the manager followed by a ridiculous wait. They've been raking it in amidst the general public's ignorance over the fact that in that article in the Dallas Morning News says that the tax collectors have not actually been collecting that $5 tax all this time because the first payments would not be due until April. Now we find out that the $5 tax is unconstitutional and has been shot down at least for now. I wonder if The Clubhouse is planning on reducing their cover to $20 now that the general public was able to read the details surrounding the $5 strip club tax. The last time I came was the night after my dad's funeral, I just needed to get away and my buddy came and we had a great time. Last night I went and tried the VIP for the first time. It was kinda slow at first and I didnt know what exactly to do. But the dude in charge of VIP was Mike and he made sure I had some lovely ladies come see me. I first asked to see Christiana and she was amazing, I had a few dances from her. I think Peyton was supposed to come up, but she never did, not sure why. But the night was made when Jinx and Jazz came to see me. Christiana had sent Jinx to see me and told her I was a good customer or whatever. Then her friend/roomate?? came and she went by Jazz. They were both really cool, and Jazz told me about her stuff being stolen and the trouble she was having with that situation. Jinx was very sweet and nice, but my favorite of the night was Jazz. 7/10/2006 "..I decided to visit The Clubhouse last Friday afternoon, based in part on the four star rating of this websight. I have never been more disapointed in my entire life. I have been to many clubs over the years but this was the first one that treated my as if I was a total nobody. I was there from 3:45 until 7:05 and the only individuals that showed me any courtesy at all were the parking attendent and the door girl. It appeared to be a slow day and the dancers were average at best, however, I tried to make the best of it by still tipping most of them. I even envited some over to my table for a visit. The DJ kept saying to invited the dancers to your table for a special treat. No dancers ever came. Oh yes, they would promise to come when I tipped them on stage, but when they go off stage they back to what they were doing before going on stage. Even though there were not many customers, some dancers were at tables with customers the whole three hours but never danced. Some of the dancers just set at a table together others just went backstage. The whole experience was a real letdown since I went there with money and the expectation of having a good time. However, I was made to feel like an outsider and how dare I expect to be given any attention. I can truly say The Clubhouse does not live up the the rating that is posted.
